Shan Bawu is a Kontakt library featuring world flutist William Arnold. Bawu is a flavored reed instrument with a clear, clarinet-like timbre that (most likely) originated in the Yunnan province of southwestern China. It is commonly featured as a solo instrument in contemporary Chinese compositions for traditional ensembles and films. Although still predominantly performed in China, Bawu has been used by many European composers and performers in recent years.
